Celebrating 60 years of people. 60 years of projects. 60 years of industry.

Originally created as Robinson McIlwaine Architects (Victor Robinson and Derek McIlwaine), the firm’s name was changed to RMI Architects 7 years ago, evolving both in response to the industry and to the change in our team.

Reaching the milestone of 60 years, it’s such a pleasure to take the opportunity to look back on the rich history of projects we’ve delivered over the decades and to celebrate the exciting opportunities ahead as we continue to grow. We also see this milestone as a chance to shine a light on some of the creative individuals who have been responsible for our success.

The ethos of the practice has always been to deliver well-designed buildings that are sensitive to the context in which they sit. 60 years on and we are proud to say this ethos remains as grounded and central as ever.
