RMI won the design competition for 26no. General needs houses and 6no. Complex needs bungalows for Clanmil Housing Association in 2014.
The development site was a former school and is located in an established residential area in east Belfast. Following an extensive period of community consultation on the proposals, planning approval was granted in 2016 and work on site commenced in April 2017.

The RMI design strategy developed in conjunction with local community representatives had several key elements:-
Retention of existing trees and vegetation to the west of the site to provide screening and open area
Maintaining a house type in keeping with the surrounding area
Splitting the scheme into 2 parts coming off separate access road to minimise traffic impacts on just one access
